Made these printable components for tahustvedt's Ursa (bear) - Fully Printable Monster Truck https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2299884 in an effort to create a long-lasting printable CV joint for diffs. Seem to handle testing so far, with one of the diff gears blowing up due to excessive stress. Steering lock to lock is now easier and less drag is experienced. Used 1.75mm filament for the pin, which appears to be sufficient, although I had planned to use a 2mm metal pin for added durability. Can be replaced without splitting the diff, offering ease of maintenance and repair. 9-7-17 Added parts to change the drive shafts from gearbox to diffs. New axles for the diffs feature better centering of balls for CV's, with an additional 0.8mm in length, as well as increased clearance of 0.3mm for spider gears (bearing 0.3mm closer on long axle), which was necessary due to the tight fit on side gears with the new 4-spider diff. 9-7-17 New diff input gear designed for easier assembly and added strength. 11-10-17 Introduced V2 ball ends, longer in length and featuring a radius at the bottom of the groove for improved performance. 12/5/17 Updated to latest versions using Tig welding wire 1.8mm for the pins.
