Cutting or knife shield

I saw a video of someone using something similar and suggested to my wife that this might be a good thing to print. She said, "I would love to be able to hand those to potential customers for my business." So I mixed this up with OpenSCAD. Note that the STL file includes her name, phone number, and so forth. She sells nice, personalized bags under the brand "31". If you want to be kind, print the STL as is and give it to whoever in your household makes bag-buying decisions. If you're just curious, I know she'll be happy to talk to you about the bags. Anyway, this was whipped up in OpenSCAD, as has most of my stuff recently. I created a guitar pick shape, cut letters out of it for her name and phone number, and added a feature that holds between your fingers. If you're a kitchen pro, when using a knife, you curl your fingers under. With this gadget, the way the fingerholder works makes you more likely to hold your fingers under. The point of the shield is that you can hide your fingers behind it so that you don't cut yourself if you mishandle the knife. I'm mentioning this - I specifically disclaim any warranty or liability. It's up to you to determine if this shield will provide adequate coverage, test it, and come to a final determination about whether to use it. My liability is limited to the amount you paid me for these files, which is zero. If you don't think the item is suitable, you can redesign it however you see fit. I've included the OpenSCAD file - you can create your own or modify it as needed. I will ask that you do not use this for commercial purposes without permission. However, if you print the supplied STL without any changes, you can sell them. But if you want to change the message on them and use them for commercial purposes, contact me and we'll discuss the details. Note: I've added a second fingerguard STL with a more central holder. One person might prefer one style over the other. Either could be generated by the same OpenSCAD source with parameter changes.
