Cutting Template for PTFE Extruder Tubes Facilitates Accurate Squaring and Cutting of 3D Printer Components. Designed to Simplify the Process of Preparing PTFE Tubing for Use Inside a 3D Printer Extruder, This Template Ensures Exact Lengths and Smooth Edges. The template works by Inserting a Long Piece of Tubing into it, then Cutting It Flush with the Side to Achieve Precise Results. Two key features help achieve accuracy: The openings that run from side to side are used to true the end of the tubing, while the final opening at the end is utilized to cut the tubing to the desired length. A sharp thin blade, such as an X-Acto knife, should be used for this purpose. To get the correct length, make sure the tube is fully inserted and seated in the template. The STL file provided is specifically designed for use with a Flashforge Finder extruder but may also work for other 3D printer models; alternatively, you can create a custom template using the Customizer feature. To help identify the correct tubing version, the length and diameter are "engraved" into the template. This feature ensures that even if multiple versions of the template are produced, it is easy to select the right one for your needs. The tube will stay in place within the template without any issues but extra material has been included in the middle and end retainers to hold the tube securely in position. If necessary, either or both retainers can be removed through the customizer if they interfere with removing or completely inserting the tubing.
