Cutter de batalla. (Utility Knife)

The piece is a portable Cutter that you can always have with you. It fulfills several functions. It can be used in two positions. The first one has the blade barely coming out so that, (due to a cut of 45 degrees at the exit) allows cutting leaves or flat surfaces without any danger of cutting yourself with the blade. The second one is with the blade completely outside allowing you to use it as a handy knife. The cutter was designed in three stages until reaching total simplification and searching for the smallest number of parts so that it could be really functional at the expected use. With PLA. It can be printed lying down, but supports are generated which prevent the blade from sliding freely. In usage tests, it responds well and proves to be safe to carry around as seen in the photo of the keychain. I've been using the cutter as a test, subjecting it to constant use and it resists very well both flexion and traction. The problem was that it took several attempts at printing; I recommend printing it vertically or once finished, passing a fine sandpaper through the channels where the blade passes. How I Designed This Design Process. The initial idea was to have a portable cutter that could be used at all times, and it was designed starting from the concept of portability. The first designs worked aesthetically but with wear they might turn out to be dangerous and cumbersome to use. So it was decided to work thoroughly on the design until taking it as far as possible in terms of simplicity. A moving piece using the advantages of 3D printing to work with flexibility in the same part.
