Cute Octopus Shell

This is MakerBot's "Cute Octopus Says Hello" model (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:27053) with custom slicing to make it print as a shell with no base. With a hollow Cute Octopus, you can put an LED inside to make a nightlight. Or, scale down to make an eraser-protector for your pencil! The third overturned octopus in the last picture above shows this particular hollow, floor-less slicing. The files included are .makerbot files, because that is currently the only way I can export the sliced hollow model from the MakerBot Desktop/MakerWare software. If you don't have a MakerBot machine with an SD card then you'll have to slice it yourself from the original Cute Octopus model. To learn how to do that see the links below.
