Cute Octopus Cyclone Marble Machine Motor
thingiverse
Cute Octopus shouts "Hey, what's going on with that electric motor? No way, stop right there!" I needed a motor for my marble machine, but didn't want batteries and wanted something extra special. I used Eddiie's motor adapter for an N20 and Cute Octopus, removed the N20 shape and some holes from the octopus, and it was done! These N20 100rpm motors are affordable on eBay - pick your own voltage. I might create a version two that doesn't need the cap from the marble machine because it's part of the octopus. This means I won't need pegs. We'll see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCVC6EpMVlw&feature=youtu.be Update: The motor gets very hot when running for a long time with a heavy load, which causes PLA to soften and D shaft to slip. Maybe I'll add a drive gear and modify the cap to fix this issue. Update2: I've added another remixed part so the D shaft has an M4 grub screw to hold it securely.
