Cutco Cheese Knife Sheath

Sheath protects knife edge and fingers effectively. I chose to print mine from bridge nylon, hoping for greater durability and less breakage risk. So far, I'm pleased with the results, except for the latch getting stuck in the blade holes. Sheath functions well, but I modified the design after printing mine because the latch gets caught in the knife blade's holes and a small portion of the edge near the handle remains unprotected. The original design is labeled _original, while the updated version is labeled _updated - I believe it's better, though I don't need a second cover and haven't printed it yet. Feel free to experiment with the OpenSCad design for your own modifications. I think the parameters should make it easy to adjust, but it's tailored to this knife and hasn't been tested on others. If you load both designs in Cura, you'll easily see the differences in the latch - slightly wider for better security and higher to avoid getting caught in the blade holes. You might also notice the updated design has a 1-degree greater angle to cover the tiny bit of exposed edge from my original design. By the way... I printed mine standing on its edge as shown in the Cura photos. I'm not sure it will work successfully if printed any other way. Thanks & safe cheese cutting! (and knife storing)
