Cutaway LED Flashlight (solder-free)

myminifactory

This is an example of a printed electronic using the solder-free 3D-PCB library, found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:21975. It's an LED flashlight made entirely out of printed parts and four lengths of conductive thread, plus two batteries and four LEDs. Detailed instructions for building this project, as well as for using 3D-PCB in general, can be found at http://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Printed-Circuit-Boards-for-solder-free-printab/, which is part of the Make-It-Real Challenge. Your vote would be greatly appreciated! If you're thinking about building this project, I suggest first test-printing the electronics top, along with a switch toggle and a peg cap. I haven't tested it on many printers, and these pieces have the finest tuned tolerances. You can also find CarryTheWhat on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/carry.the.what.replications. To build this project, you'll need: * 1x electronics top * 1x electronics bottom * 1x tube * 1x cap * 1x slide switch * 11x peg caps Additionally, you'll need to acquire: * 4x 5mm LEDs (white is a good choice) * 2x AAA batteries * 4x conductive thread (two 12in lengths and two 18in lengths) The uploaded drawing shows how to wire up the circuit.
