Customizeable Drawer Divider / Drawer Organizer
thingiverse
I was asked by a family member if it's possible to print custom drawer dividers, so I decided to give it a try and create this project. You can fully customize the dividers to your needs by using the provided SCAD file. The different settings are explained in the SCAD file, the included instruction schema, and the following options: - Divider Length: The main length of the divider from the edges or the center of the overlap regions. - Left Top Connector: Whether to create a linear connector on the left/top side of the divider. - Left Top Connector Inverted: Whether to invert the left/top connector. - Right Bottom Connector: Whether to create a linear connector on the right/bottom side of the divider. - Right Bottom Connector Inverted: Whether to invert the right/bottom connector. - Positions Connectors: The positions of the slits for connecting vertical and horizontal dividers. This is an array in the form [Pos1, Pos2, Pos3 ...] counted from the left/top side of the divider. Additional settings include: - Divider Height: The height of the divider. - Divider Thickness: The thickness of the divider (Should be an even multiplicative of your desired layer height) - Overlap Length: The length of the overlap region for linear connectors. - Diameter Connectors: The diameter of the round alignment knobs and holes on the linear connectors. - Amount Connectors: The amount of knobs to create on linear connectors. (Their type is alternating a knob or a hole) - Ignore Problems: Whether to ignore problems with the settings that could influence the divider functionality. If you need to create a part with linear connectors on both sides, one of these should be inverted to make the divider printable. Note: All left/top non-inverted connectors match with all right/bottom non-inverted connectors and all left/top inverted connectors match with all right/bottom inverted connectors, but inverted and non-inverted connectors don't match. The example STL files in the file section are the parts of the divider I printed for my relative. They were created for a 295mm x 425mm drawer.
