Customizable Zoetrope
thingiverse
Revive 19th-century motion pictures with your modern printer! The first zoetrope dates back to 180 AD, but gained popularity in the 19th century. A vertical zoetrope allows you to customize the size and number of frames, frame depth for shutter slits, and stand size. Interchangeable wheel and stand components enable easy animation swapping. Note that the outside wheel should be black, larger frames enhance visibility, gluing connector pieces gives best results, account for printer spillover with 1-1.5mm 'clips', and adjust shutter slit sizes for optimal animation clarity.
