Customizable V-Slot Power Plug Cover/Mount
thingiverse
This simple cover protects the ubiquitous fused power jack with switch from damage. It mounts vertically into the V-Slot using two M5x10mm socket cap screws that fit snugly into T-nuts in the extrusion. The wires exit the bottom and can be used to secure it to 20mm or 40mm wide extrusion. The two screw holes for attaching the plug are countersunk at a diameter of 3.5mm, making M3x10mm flat head screws the perfect choice for securing it in place. #6-32 screws also fit closely. This cover was printed using ProtoParadigm Sapphire Ingeo PLA. Print Settings: Printer: C-Bot Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 15% Notes: I initially planned to print it with four perimeters and four solid top and bottom layers, making it a solid plastic piece without infill. However, the "draft" settings of two perimeters, three solid top layers, two solid bottom layers, and 15% infill produced a strong result, so I didn't reprint it. No supports are needed, but your printer must be able to bridge the 9.3mm gap to close the top securely.
