This utility belt is engineered for maximum customization. It can be securely fastened through most belt loops or worn independently. New links can be easily created for a variety of applications; I've included one example, a phone holster that rotates to the side and then vertically to secure the phone in place, as shown in the accompanying photos. In its current configuration, it rotates clockwise from its vertical position, requiring a slight forward push to release the phone. The STL file for the phone holster can be mirrored in any slicing software used to create a reversed rotation if desired. I've included STL files for direct printing and STEP files for easier modification of the 3D models. The recommended fasteners are #8-32 x 1-1/4" bolts and #8-32 nylon lock nuts, with the longer bolts fully engaging the locking insert of the lock nuts. My bolts are made of brass, but steel can be used as well. The phone holster is designed for an HTC One Max, although adapting it to other phone models would not be difficult; a screen protector is recommended. More information on designing holsters for specific phones is detailed below. The "phone holder tpu insert" will come into contact with the phone's screen, making TPU essential for this part to prevent scratching or damage. The second TPU part, placed at the bottom of the holster, will require redesigning for new phone models. The third TPU part, called "flexible_tpu_link," acts as a belt tensioner, providing extra flexibility in the PLA links and preventing discomfort when sitting or bending. When redesigning the phone holster, it's crucial to ensure that the button-shaped TPU insert does not press too hard against the screen when the holster is locked in place. This requires sufficient clearance between the phone's position in the holster and the TPU button to avoid damage.
