thingiverse
A Customizable Model for Mounting Various Devices Including Motors, Gearboxes and Rotary Encoders. All Key Properties Can Be Altered to Accommodate Most Common Devices Ranging from Minimum Requirements to Comprehensive Details. The Model Features Options for Full or Half Size Mounts, a Hole in the Base to Secure It with a Cable Tie, as Well as an Option for Mounting Feet and Countersunk Mounting Holes. A Vertical Cutout in the Base Helps Reduce Printed Material. Instructions Key Parameters to Modify Are: 1) Device Diameter and Length. 2) "Collar" or Shaft Diameter. 3) Number, Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD) and Desired Diameter of Mounting Holes. 4) Height of Center of Device Body Above Base. All Dimensions Are Expressed in Millimeters. OPTIONS OFFSET SHAFT: Certain Gearboxes, Such as Pololu 37D Range, Have Output Shafts Offset from Motor Centerline. This Can Be Accommodated by Adjusting 'Shaft Offset' Variable. Verify Whether 'Rotate Holes' Variable Requires Modification as Some Gearboxes Place the Shaft Closer to Mounting Holes While Others are Near Gaps Between Them. MOUNTING FEET: The Option for Mounting Feet Can be Turned On or Off, Adding Feet Depending on the Length of the Mount. The Diameter of the Hole and Surrounding Material Thickness Will Change Accordingly When Changing This Feature. FULL SUPPORT: Activating This Option Prints a Full Support Instead of a Half-Sized One, Suitable Only for Low-Torque Applications Such as Rotary Encoders. SCREW COUNTERSINKS: Include Mounting Screw Countersinks by Entering Desired Diameter and Depth. Useful When There's Little Space Between Shaft End and Mount.
