Customizable Universal Charging Dock

At present, there's an error when rendering this file. Here's a temporary fix: Download the file called "MobileHolderV6.scad" from here. Download and install http://www.openscad.org/. Open MobileHolderV6.scad in OpenSCAD. There you can insert your values directly into the code and render your models locally on your own computer. When you've inserted your values, click the "Render"-button - the one with the cube and an hour glass. After rendering, click the "STL"-button to get your STL-file. It is the first variable in the code that determines if you're working on the top holder or the connector. When you have rendered and saved the STL for the top holder, change that variable to "second" and you will see the connector when you render. It's easier than you think, and right now much more reliable than Thingiverse... I'll keep trying to get in touch with support to resolve this issue. Until then, use the solution described here. Having a charging dock for your phone is nice. But the problem is that you need a new one every time you change phones, and it won't fit if you have added a cover or battery pack. That's not a problem any more. This thing is a customizable phone dock for both Android, iPhone, and almost all phones that have the connector at the bottom. Simply print the base dock (UniversalDockBase.stl) and use the customizer to fit the top holder to your phone. Then customize the connector adapter to your cable or choose one of the included ones if you have a pretty standard cable. When you get a new phone or add a cover to your existing one, you can simply print a new top holder and/or a new connector adapter. Update: I've added an option to add extra support on the top holder to hold the phone better on board a car or boat. This is a feature that was first introduced in a separate thing, but is now included as an option in this thing. Update2: I've added two experimental options for the connector holder - an offset to let you finely adjust the connector a bit to the right or left, and an option to add an extra 10 mm of depth if you have a very thick cover or battery pack. Update3: Thanks to user walkeraj (https://www.thingiverse.com/walkeraj/about), we now have an extra option to choose elliptical or square charging plug, and an extra Universal Dock Base with curved cable channel. Thank you! Instructions: Prepare Look through all the images and the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grWQgDPk3Ps). There are quite a bit of information there. Then prepare: All measures are in millimeter (mm). Measure the width of your phone, including any cover that you use. Then measure the length from the back of the phone to the back of the connector. Please see the images at the top to learn what "the back of the connector" means - this is the depth. iPhone 3: 63 - 6 iPhone 4: 59 - 3 iPhone 5C: 60 - 4 iPhone 5C with Apple Cover: 63 - 6 iPhone 5S: 59 - 3 iPhone 5S with Mophie: 64 - 5 iPhone 6 plus with Apple cover: 82 - 5 iPhone 6 plus: 78 - 3 iPod 60GB: 62 - 7 Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: 73 - 2 Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with LED Cover: 76 - 5.6 Sony Xperia Z5 Pro: 77 - 3 Links to models and option to download of several file types: Universal Dock Base: http://a360.co/29aB1HT Clean Connector Adapter with no hole: http://a360.co/29dzTyE The top holder is made entirely with OpenSCAD, and you can download the source in the customizer.
