Customizable U-Hook
thingiverse
Parametric hook, universally strong and customizable.\nI've been searching for a parametric hook model that combines strength and customization possibilities, but couldn't find any suitable options. I decided to create the perfect model myself. This is my attempt at designing a universal and extremely strong parametric hook that can be easily 3D printed as a finished product.\nI conducted a stress test with my parametric U-Hook in its default configuration. The hook was printed in PLA, using 2 perimeters, a 0.2 mm layer height, and 20% infill.\nThe result was impressive - the hook supported an incredible weight of 47.4 kilograms.\nFull documentation is available as a PDF file (in English and French) in the Thing Files section or on my website: http://www.sergepayen.fr/en/parametric-u-hook\nTo customize this object, users can employ Thingiverse's Customizer or OpenScad software, which is free and open-source. OpenScad is user-friendly and allows for easy customization of existing SCAD files. I've written a tutorial on "How to Use a Parametric File" that explains how to use OpenScad to customize a parametric object: http://www.sergepayen.fr/en/how-to-use-a-parametric-file\nPrint Settings:\nPrinter Brand: RepRap\nPrinter: MendelMax 3\nRafts: Doesn't Matter\nSupports: No\nResolution: 0.2\nInfill: 20
