Customizable Towel Hangers

I made this really cool customizable towel hanger, and I'm excited to share my experience with you. I created one for each of my kids, and then decided to make some for the grown-ups too. To ensure strength in the main hanger part, I print it with high heat around 220-230 degrees. I also use at least 50% infill, although I've made a few with 80% infill as well. One thing that's really convenient is printing the nameplate separately. This way, you can cover the screws with it, and you can also change the colors to your liking. I like using a different background color and white letters for the foreground. As for the screws, I just grabbed a couple of flat-head wood screws from my bin and they worked out perfectly. It seems like many different sizes would work, so don't worry too much about that. I've made this design several times now, and I'm up to version 11 or 12. One thing I still struggle with is clearance issues with the nameplate when inserting it into the hanger. On my last print, it was so tight that I didn't even need glue, which was a nice surprise! However, I think this issue is more related to variances in my printer than the design itself, so you may have to either glue the nameplate if it's too small or trim it with scissors if it's too big. This design works best on printers that support "pause at z height" in Cura. Unfortunately, mine doesn't, so I had to watch the nameplate print and pause for the color change manually. However, the nameplate prints really fast, so this isn't a huge issue. If you want to customize the name on the nameplate, you can easily do it using Tinkercad.
