It only works on hives with a 30 degree angle which is the TBH standard. The slot is to slide in a piece of #8 hardware cloth to keep the bees from coming out when you refill the jar. Print at .3 resolution, 4 layers top & bottom, 3 shells & 5% 3D honeycomb infill with the opening side (not the jar side) of the piece up on the bed with no supports. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/top-bar-beehive Added some shims so you can match the height of preexisting feeder holes in your follower board and still use the lower profile TBHfeeder3.stl.
