Customizable Toothpaste Tube Roller
thingiverse
Designed using OpenSCAD for toothpaste tube sizes up to approximately eight ounces and sixty-five millimeters in width. Printing: I printed with PETG at a layer height of 0.20, twenty-five percent infill, and brim enabled. No supports were necessary. The SCAD file is included if you want to make any customizations to the dimensions, shape, handle style, etc. Components are in one file, but can easily be split apart in slicer software and printed separately for higher quality or different infill/etc. Assembly: Press fit the twister rod into the main body completely, past the retainer tabs. Usage: Insert the toothpaste tube into the twister rod from the side after consuming at least ten percent of the tube. Then twist the knob in your favorite consistent direction. To remove the empty tube, turn it slightly in the reverse direction to loosen and then pull it out from the side; no need to unroll it completely. Printing with higher resolution and fewer strings may make removal easier. Update 4/6/20: A round body option was added (see second photo). Now go brush your teeth!
