<p>UPDATE (2019/10/19): Completely redone from scratch to be easier to print and customizable. Also got rid of the wobble.</p> <p>A cute, simple tank toy with a spinning turret. I have provided a F3D (Fusion 360) file to allow you to customize the tank however you like. Otherwise, 2 sets of STLs are available ("default" and "chibi") for immediate use.</p> <p><strong>Customizing</strong></p> <ul> <li>open the f3d file in Fusion 360</li> <li>Design &gt; Modify &gt; Change Parameters</li> <li>tweak the parameter values</li> <li>(advanced) edit the "star" sketch to change the shape on the side of the turret</li> <li>save the bodies as new STL files</li> </ul> <p>A video demonstrating the turret spinning: <a href="https://youtu.be/UqJETfymj_8">https://youtu.be/UqJETfymj_8</a></p> <p>This is based on <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/TTCommanderAnime/">TTCommanderAnime</a>'s <a href="https://tanktrouble.com">TankTrouble</a> model (with permission--thanks!). I have never played the game, but I liked the look of the tank and jumped at the chance to practice my Fusion 360 modelling skills. My main goals were to modify the original to be easier to print on a home/consumer FDM printer (no supports required) and to add the ability for the turret to spin.</p> Category: Toys & Games
