After enhancing the extruder, putting in a hood and side panels, fitting a glass build platform, adding aluminum arms, and solidifying the build plate pads, my Replicator 2 still experienced periodic registration errors (misaligned edges) during filament changes mid-print. I pinpointed the issue to insufficient spring footings. This straightforward upgrade resolves this problem. UPDATE: As of November 14, 2013, customization is available! Instructions: Produce three, remove the Replicator 2/2X build platform, attach under each spring, and reinstall the build plate while re-leveling it.
