Customizable Razor Stand
thingiverse
My son likes shaving and collecting old razors. Upon completion of USMC boot camp he wanted something to hold a couple in next to the sink. He found this model https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:82968 and asked me to print. We measured his brush handles and determined that the model needed adjusting to fit. Fortunately an OpenSCAD file was provided so we could make some changes. But it wasn't as easy as we hoped... I made a few changes to accommodate a few of his razors and brushes and started printing. While waiting I decided it'd be fun to parameterize the whole model and learn some more OpenSCAD. This design is the result. This design lets you change the brush holder sizes easily, adjusting all openings accordingly and sizing the stand's depth accordingly. You can also change the angles of the criss-cross panels and their lengths, and the razor holes size and placement are configurable, as is the overall width. This version also bevels the brush holder openings. The attached images are my print of the modified version of the original, not from my fully parameterized version. They should still give you a feel for how it will appear as I retained the spirit of the original, minus the holes below the brush.
