Customizable Plastic Clips to hold a Sign in Place
thingiverse
I created a custom vertical letter sign on my CNC machine as a gift for a friend. The sign is destined for mounting alongside a mailbox post, and I envisioned using some clever mounting clips to secure it in place. After experimenting with various designs, I came up with these three distinct styles that cater perfectly to the task at hand. I've sized them for a loose fit on 3/4-inch thick wood, which translates to approximately 20mm. To adjust the thickness of the wood, simply modify the variable **Wd_Thk** to match your material's mm thickness - all variables are listed in millimeters. I included an image showing the dimensions of the Bottom / Top Style bracket, as well as several photographs showcasing the different designs available. These clips aren't just limited to holding signs; their versatility makes them suitable for a multitude of uses. Their customizability allows you to tailor them to fit your specific needs - whether it's securing a sign or something else entirely. To further refine these clips, feel free to open the customizer or download the OpenSCAD file and make adjustments as you see fit.
