Customizable Planar Lithophane - Christmas Card
thingiverse
Recently, the stability of our university network has started to falter. I created a Windows version of the modeling web service that's available for download at http://facebook.com/lithopia. For the latest updates, be sure to visit the site and stay connected. Thanks to everyone who uses this service. JM This lithophane example is based on a planar design generated from an online Christmas card image found through a simple Google search. The image itself was free for public use. To produce the STL file, I utilized our web service, which can be accessed at http://maker.dongguk.edu/webclient/plane_litho_index.html. We were inspired to develop this service by Thingiverse's well-known image-to-STL software (Thing:66115). Our version is a simplified web-based adaptation of the original. Here are some guidelines to help you use our system: Visit http://maker.dongguk.edu/webclient/plane_litho_index.html to create your STL files. We recommend using the latest Chrome browser for optimal performance. Please be aware that this web service may not be perfectly crafted; it was created by individuals with expertise in computer graphics, but not necessarily in web programming. This is a university project aiming to support the 3D printing industry on a non-profit basis. If you encounter any issues or have comments to share, we welcome your feedback and will strive to improve our system accordingly.
With this file you will be able to print Customizable Planar Lithophane - Christmas Card with your 3D printer.
