Customizable pin header cover with jumper cut-outs
thingiverse
I started out with a plan to design a custom Raspberry Pi 3 GPIO header cover with adjustable cut-outs for jumpers. The goal was to expose only the necessary pins while protecting the rest.\r\n\r\nIn the end, I ended up with a fully customizable header cover featuring jumper cut-outs. In addition to selecting the pins to cut-out for jumpers, you can choose the number of rows and pins per row, as well as pin pitch. Advanced options also allow tweaking of pin size, hole shape, wall thickness, etc.\r\n\r\nInitially, I planned to list each pin individually and let it be set to true or false in the customizer. However, once the project became more generic, I switched to a list of pin numbers - specifically header pin numbers, not GPIO pin numbers.\r\n\r\nSince this project originated with the Raspberry Pi, here are some relevant references:\r\nhttps://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/usage/gpio/\r\n\r\n![](https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/learn_tutorials/4/2/4/header_pinout.jpg)\r\nhttps://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/learn_tutorials/4/2/4/header_pinout.jpg\r\n\r\n![](https://www.raspberrypi.org/app/uploads/2014/04/bplus-gpio.png)\r\nhttps://www.raspberrypi.org/app/uploads/2014/04/bplus-gpio.png
