By harnessing the power of the Thingiverse Customizer and OpenSCAD, you can craft a tailored bracket system that meets your exact needs. Use any size pill bottle or mix it up with different sizes - the possibilities are endless! With the Customizer at your disposal, you can design single or triple hexes, or even a stand of half hexes to keep them safe and organized. Don't let those pill bottles go to waste; put them to good use today! **Get Started** OpenSCAD operates in millimeters - its standard unit of measurement. First things first: select the size pill bottle that suits your requirements best. I've used 2-inch (50mm) diameter bottles in the images you see here, but 1.5 inches (39mm) ones are also common and readily available. A crucial thing to note is that my code works with radius values rather than diameter values. Next, open up the Thingiverse Customizer or edit the .SCAD file to choose between printing a single hexagon, three connected hexagons in an equilateral triangle arrangement, or a stand made of half hexagons. To decide on how many half hexes should be included in your stand, simply define the variable __stand_hexes__. For customization freaks, there's more! Choose whether you want to make the size of each hex proportionate to its corresponding bottle size, or if it should be entirely different. Mixing sizes might seem unusual, but trust me, it can work magic for organization and creativity in your DIY space. The remaining options include variable modding, like modifying the thickness or linking part size. By using the variable expansion factor, you define just how much larger the linkage will be than its indentations. Last but not least, remember that .25 infill yields a remarkably strong bracket; feel free to boost the infill for enhanced reinforcement. Lastly, a vital point - with default settings of 4mm part thickness and standard infill levels, your print should come out sturdy enough for your specific application needs.
