Customizable Phone Reading Prop
thingiverse
A compact accessory to hold a smartphone horizontally (Layout view) for hands-free reading is now available. I was underwhelmed with the size of my previous phone stand, so I designed this one to be more portable. The default setting is tailored for an iPhone 5s in a Spigen case, but you can customize it for your own device. Adjust the phone thickness based on its make and case type. If your phone is significantly larger, consider increasing the stand height and/or width for added stability. When you boost the stand height, you might need to adjust the "Hollow offset" to move the hole backward. The "hat overhang" is a small clip in front that grips around the edge of the case on my phone at 2mm. If your phone lacks a case or its front edge doesn't protrude, reduce this value to 1mm.
