We're pleased to introduce our new collection of pens with ultra-fine patterns especifically designed to be printed with a thin 0.2mm Nozzle. The intricate patterns that surround the body, not only take full advantage of the thin nozzle size, but they also make the pens look and feel like much better. You will only need a standard BIC Crystal pen for this make. The ultra-fine textures make the plastic feel like a premium material - Perfect to transform the BIC pens that lay around your desk.InstructionsThere are 4 different designs, each of them has a normal version and a version with a slot for a customizable text tag. Moreover, we have also added two pen versions that can be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle, although the details are not as fine. The cap with clip needs to be printed in 2 separate parts and glued together with CA/Superglue or welded with a soldering iron or a lighter. I found this solution much better that printing it in one piece vertically, that led to very brittle clips. For printing I had good results with basic PLA and silk PLA. Overall they are extremelly detailed and strong. However, with Matte PLA I had layer adhesion issues and the pens came out quite fragile. Also, I strongly recommend cleaning the plate very well with detergent and using a brim, as it is quite tricky to hold the pen vertically with such a small area. Reducing speeds can help with adhesion issues too.Procedure for normal pens (without text)Print the pen of your choice - check the nozzle size on the stl namesPrint a cap of your choice Introduce the BIC catridge.Procedure for customized pens (with text)Print the pen of your choice with a slot for a text tag. Open the ‘text tag customisable.stl’ (If you use bambu studio get the .3mf and go to Objects > Right click on 'text_shape' and edit the text)You will need a slicer that allows to introduce text such as Prusa Slicer, Bambu Orca, etc)Add text on the tag. You can either embed it into the tag and print it upside down or make a raised text as shown in the picture. If you do not have a multi-filament machine, with some slicers you can add a stop in the slicer and manually change color at the height where the text starts.Once printed, glue it to the pen with some contact glue/CAIf you'd like to support our work, we'd be super grateful for a [Ko-Fi].
