Customizable Pencil Holder
thingiverse
This is a pencil holder I created by modifying my design for a 10 ml pipette holder. I noticed my pencils fit in perfectly, so I decided to get more use out of it. There are four large holes in the back that can hold big pens and Sharpie markers, and five smaller holes in front that fit mechanical and traditional pencils along with small pens. I included the Fusion 360 file for you to easily import an STL file and extrude any logo or image you like. The picture shows a pencil holder with my hub's insignia, but the STL file provided is just a blank canvas. I designed this pencil holder to print without needing any support. Simply place it on the print bed, print the two slots, then glue the feet to the main body of the pencil holder. I use 3M adhesive for my parts, but other adhesives will work just as well. If you're using ABS, coat the feet and attachment locations with acetone for a strong bond. I find it easiest to create my logo STL file by tracing the logo or image in Inkscape, then importing the resulting STL into my modeling software after removing the picture. I usually select a font close to the original logo's font and convert it to paths to save time.
