customizable milk crate storage, project box, rasberry pi, beaglebone case

I like milk crates. They are stackable, they hold stuff. they are just fun. Having a need to to store little stuff in the house and also a need for project boxes for electronics, I decided to combine all these elements and make a storage box in the shape of a milk crate that was easy to change configurations to exactly what I need. This project has separated the basic milk crate, from its bottom (or a lid,) and also includes an extender section so you can make it taller by just a bit if necessary. You can use crazy glue to attach the bottom and/or extension pieces or just use zip ties (in my pictures you will see where I tried both.) I also made a solid flat plate insert for the bottom or lid so they can be solid if you want, the sides you will have to make yourself, but they should be be nothing more than re-sizing my flat bottom. This design is especially useful for project boxes for electronics as with the many access holes, you can pass wires through the box where ever you seem fit, and there is no worry about it trapping heat with all the holes. The holes also make it real easy to put zip ties where ever you need to hold things together, make a hinged lid if you want, what ever. You can resize this to whatever your needs, but the full size print is sized to fit on an 8x8 inch print bed Supplied are my original files in AC3D format and also .STL for printing. - JL
