Update 2018-09-25: Made some adjustments to allow for smaller plates that save filament and time. The standard setup now takes around 15 minutes to print and uses about 1g of filament on my CR-10S. This is a small script that helps with mesh bed leveling, which is included in the marlin firmware. It generates tiny calibration plates that fit exactly where each mesh point is located. You can use these plates to evaluate each one and adjust your settings accordingly. Each plate has the x- and y-coordinate of its corresponding mesh point labeled on it for easier handling. The provided .stl file is just an example - you should create your own using OpenSCAD or MakerBot Customizer. To get started, simply set your printbed size and the number of mesh points configured in marlin. You're ready to go from there. If you want more options, you can adjust the X- and Y-Offset to match your printbed borders (according to marlin: LEVEL_CORNERS_INSET) and customize the size of each individual calibration plate. To generate custom plates for your own printer, click the customizer button or download the .scad-file and make your edits. Have a great time.
