Customizable Measuring Spoons
thingiverse
This set of customizable measuring spoons comes in two types: flat-sitting ones that don't nest and nesting ones that may need support material on extrusion printers. Additionally, you can print a leveling sweep and a coupler for a ring. Although the flat-on-counter version won't sit flat on a ring, you have the option to customize sizes using OpenSCAD or choose from common sizes like 1/8 tsp, 1/4 tsp, and 1 tbsp. The flat-sitting type doesn't require support material and has a thickness of 2mm for Thing-O-Matic build platform arrangement. After printing, be careful when removing handles to avoid bending and use a Sharpie and clear nail polish for contrasting text on light-colored spoons. To create a ring, use filament of around 1.75-1.85mm, coat spoon ends with adhesive, insert into coupler, and wait for hardening. For ABS cement, consider using drain pipe cement available in black or clear at hardware stores. If you want removable spoons on the ring, use a keyring or small ball-chain loop instead.
