Customizable - MatchStick Glider - Single print flying glider & bed leveling tool.
thingiverse
This glider is an awesome tool for checking your bed-level! And in one single print, you can have a fun toy that flies around the house or yard. Set the size to set the length of the glider - the wings, nose weight and tail are automatically scaled to flyable proportions. Set flthick to the first layer thickness you use on your printer - this will set the wing and tailfin thickness so only one layer is printed. The vertical stabilizer is on the bottom side. Once printed, lay it on the edge of a table and give the elevators a crease upward. Then pull the wing tips together to give the wings a slight upward dihedral angle. Give it a toss! Smaller versions (40-80mm fly okay indoors - you'll probably need to check that the wings and tail are straight after every throw, also toss it very softly for the little ones). Larger versions (120mm+ fly fairly well indoors or out - full elevator deflection for loops!, and you can fling them as hard as you want!) Watch it printing! https://youtu.be/dEFvw7LRwAQ Print Settings: Printer: QUBD Two Up Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .4mm or less. Infill: 50% for proper flying weight. Notes: Set flthick to match the first layer thickness you normally print with. After printing, pull the wingtips together for a little upward dihedral angle. Flip the glider top down on a table and use the edge to crease the elevators upwards.
