WARNING, customizable for your phone so read everything before printing ! First of all I am not affiliated with SCOSCHE but I do love their product. I designed this mount support extender, which was built for use with this product : https://www.scosche.com/2-pack-magicmounttm-pro-vent You must have this product to be able to use it as is (one is enough, of course). I was fed up of my phone slowly sliding then falling off; I had the regular magnetic one (the non pro version) and it was working pretty fine with my older phone, older case. Then I changed for a Pixel 4a, with the original casing from Google, which seems to be too thick for the magnet to hold, even with the MagicMount pro version which has supposedly a stronger magnet... ... or it must be our Montreal's roads which have, I'm quite sure of it, quite a bad reputation for their poor conditions with monstrous potholes ! ;) It is customizable, just download the OpenSCAD model file (not the STL, unless you have a pixel 4 with the plate at the exact same spot as mine), and use OpenSCAD and change the values, then generate your personal STL to print. The first value you want to change is probably "longueur" (excuse my french ;) ) which is roughly the length from the center of the magnet to the bottom hooks. I advise you measure your phone to match roughly the length from the center position of the plate to the bottom of your phone, and set this value accordingly. The STL I updated was design with a length of 50 mm. You can change a lot of things as for example, the thickness of the plates, the thickness of the junction between the plates, the width of the lower plate and the width of the gap for the connectors/speakers under the phone, as well as the diameters for the hooks (which translates roughly to the thickness of you phone including the cover). Please watch out before printing for the junction (behind) : it's wide and might not fit your vents on your car, as it might be blocked on the side of the vent, preventing you from fully pushing the teeth of the mount into the vent (if you look on my pictures, by vents are a bit recessed, a it more and it would not fit !). I'll try to redesign it (someday) by tapering the bulky junction in the back to be thinner on the sides. Even though it could be printed flat, I suggest you do as I did and print it sideway with tree supports, so you get a better strength on the hooks being printed on the X/Y axis rather than praying for good layer adhesion on the Z axis which is known to be weaker. Let me know if it worked for you and let me see those Makes ! :)
