I was inspired to design a Spaceship Earth-style container from the moment I created my first jar. This project only includes the jar files, so you won't find any lid files included here. You can find the corresponding caps on this website. I printed it with transparent PLA filament just like my other containers. I love the non-glossy surface; it resembles frosted glass perfectly. If you open this thing in the Customizer, not only can you design your own size of the container, but you also have parameters to modify the jar's surface. Check out these examples - dimples_style_40.stl and cubes_style_40.stl - for ideas on how to create new, interesting container surfaces. **Instructions** Print the lid from here as usual. Print the container with no infill and no top layer. Use a shell thickness of around 1mm (diameter 20-60mm) or 1.25mm (diameter 75-100mm), depending on your nozzle diameter. The bottom may be too unstable for you, in which case try increasing the bottom thickness. **For different diameters:** * 20-25mm diameter: use a 1mm bottom thickness * 30-40mm diameter: use a 1.5mm bottom thickness * 50-60mm diameter: use a 2mm bottom thickness * 75-100mm diameter: use a 2.5mm bottom thickness I highly recommend using Slic3r for slicing - it has always worked well for me. CURA is also possible, but I found the results to be poor, with rough inner walls that might indicate incorrect settings. Make sure to check the container in layer view before printing! Here's an example of what can go wrong: failure **Perimeter Options** I learned from user mmontee that he makes my other jars using a "spiral vase" setting - this means one perimeter shell. See his creation here. I tested it and found that it works well; check out the results for 25mm, 40mm, and 75mm. **Customizer Tips** To get the most out of the Customizer, use the same parameters as those used for the lid. The default density is calculated like this: y_density = round(sqrt(size x 50) / 6.25 - 0.2) x_density = round(y_density x 3.25 - 0.2) The following are the default values: * 25mm: x=16, y=5 * 30mm: x=19, y=6 * 40mm: x=23, y=7 * 50mm: x=26, y=8 * 60mm: x=29, y=9 * 75mm: x=32, y=10 * 100mm: x=36, y=11
