Customizable LiPo holder where battery slides into one end, held firmly in place by a rubber band or Velcro strip. Default geometry parameters are tailored for a 3S LiPo ~5000mAh, while mounting points are designed to be securely attached to the undercarriage of an old Ikarus ECO-8 Electric R/C helicopter originally equipped with 10 NiCd/NiMh cells. Design criteria: 1. Adequate air holes on all sides ensure efficient cooling in rapid-discharge applications. 2. Low weight is a top priority. 3. Robust protection on all sides safeguards against crashes. 4. Easy pack swapping is a must-have feature. 5. Mounting points are specifically designed for my R/C heli. A SCAD file is included, allowing you to customize the design as needed for your unique application. Updated 4/27/20 with additional optional mounting points, a narrower Velcro block, and a slightly wider opening for improved functionality.
