Customizable Lid for Polypropylene Cup

Customizable Lid for Polypropylene Cup

thingiverse

This is a lid designed specifically for 20oz Polypropylene "to-go" cups commonly used in restaurants around here. It snaps securely onto the top, allowing users to repurpose their cups as general storage containers for solids, even if they're not watertight. The accompanying .scad file also models the cup itself, intended primarily as a mockup for virtual test fitting of the lid within OpenSCAD rather than a 3D printable model. A photo of the bottom markings on one of my cups is provided above for those interested in details. Using calipers to measure a cup I had on hand, I achieved fairly precise results with my model, except for the bottom portion which features intricate details that I chose not to include in my design.
