Customizable length mounting arm for RAM Mounts
prusaprinters
I needed a shorter mounting arm for my satnav, so I designed one (69.4mm overall length). Extensively tested on some rather bumpy roads in Thailand. No guarantee, though.Best printed with quite a few perimeters and relatively high infill. (I've used PETG, 4 perimeters and 40% infill, iirc.)Needs an M6x50 bolt and hex nut.All parts print without supports.Edit 07.04.2023: After I got a request for a different length mounting arm, I made the model parametric, so you can generate every length you want or need. The procedure is very easy:Open “ultra short arm for RAM Mounts.FCStd” in FreeCAD.Click on the spreadsheet “vars” on the left side (1), change the value for the length (2) (make sure to hit enter!) and click on the tab at the bottom of the window (3).Now all that's left to do is select each part of the model (top, bottom, or knob separately) and press CTRL+E to export it as an STL file (select file type from the drop-down list).
With this file you will be able to print Customizable length mounting arm for RAM Mounts with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Customizable length mounting arm for RAM Mounts.
