This is a highly adaptable generator for producing standoff mounts that can hold two lead LEDs above a printed circuit board. I prefer using this method over ordering them from Digikey (e.g., part number 36-7363-ND) because it allows me to quickly adjust the dimensions, then print them myself. I am printing these standoffs in ABS plastic, utilizing a Flashforge Creator Pro with PEI build surface and Simplify 3D software. Due to their small size, I achieve significantly better results by printing multiple standoffs at once, giving each one ample time to cool between layers. Conversely, if I attempt to print just one, it only yields an unusable blob of ABS plastic.
