Customizable Large 7 Segment LED Display

Please see V2 instead at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:820001 This is a massive Seven Segment LED display that you can utilize to create your own timepieces, scoreboards, or whatever else you need. This initial version is customizable, but the SCAD file is in disarray. The SCAD file produces two parts: The case separates each segment. The lens elements can be printed optionally inside the case. Still perfecting the best combination of materials for LED diffusion. A default STL file is available, with a 200mm height character that fits perfectly on a Flashforge or clone bed. Multiple methods exist to utilize the parts: On a single material printer: Either: Print just the case and use a sheet of diffusion material (e.g., parchment paper or Rosco Cinegel 3000, which produces fantastic results) over the case. Make the lens element extremely thin (one or two layers) and print the case and lens as one piece. On a dual material printer: Either: Print the case and lens in one pass with two colors (e.g., white lens and black case) - make sure the lens is incredibly slender
