Let me introduce the highly versatile lamp shade. After several days of programming and testing, you are now able to create countless unique lamp shades. You can create a variety of shapes, including: * Cone * Cylinder * Cube * Sphere * Pyramid * Star * Flower * Dodecahedron These are just some of the shapes I've found so far, but there are many more waiting to be discovered. You can customize different sizes and the hole for the bulb bracket. You can create a lamp shade as a ceiling lamp or a desk lamp or for another purpose like a decorative bowl or vase. You can view some examples in the pictures above. To create your lamp shade, you can use OpenSCAD. The Scad-File is well-documented and easy to understand. The light blue lamp socket I'm using with this lamp shade is a silicone one with a long sleeved cable (picture 1 and 2). It's available in different colors: https://goo.gl/4Lx9Ux The diameter of the bracket is 42mm. I recommend using LED light bulbs, as other types could potentially melt the lamp shade. For the setup shown in the picture, I'm using three 2W Osram filament bulbs, which equals a total of 75W. Please share your customized lamp shades with the community! I'd love to see them!
