Customizable Keyguard for the GoTalk Now iPad app

Individuals who require augmentative communication devices to interact with others often face additional challenges such as low vision, spasticity, limited range of motion, and muscle strength. These disabilities can significantly impede an individual's ability to effectively use a speech device. The purpose of this keyguard is to isolate speech icons, reducing targeting errors and enhancing the effective use of AAC devices. It also provides visual cues for individuals with low vision or hand-eye coordination issues, thereby improving targeting accuracy. During evaluations, speech therapists can utilize the keyguard to assess an individual's ability to access a device accurately. This keyguard offers versatility as it can be customized in the GoTalk app to fit any field size and modified to accommodate various device sizes. The print settings for this keyguard include using high detail basic printer settings with ABS plastic, a Nozzle Temp of 235, and a Bed Temp of 110. Tabs will soon be added to fit this keyguard under existing device cases.
