Customizable keyboard wrist rest
thingiverse
I recently downsized to a compact 60% keyboard and had to locate a smaller wristrest. Unfortunately, 60% wristrests aren't very common and often come with a higher price tag. That's when I turned to 3D printing and started working on this customizer. Most of the time, the wristrest will be too wide to print as a single piece, so one of the key features about this customizer is the max print width option, which automatically splits the wristrest into smaller pieces that can be printed and easily assembled. Also, to conserve plastic, there's a large hole at the bottom. I figured it would never be visible in use and the top remains thick enough that it doesn't flex. There are some hidden settings and features in the OpenSCAD file, which someone might want to experiment with. Although keep in mind that they're hidden for a reason and could potentially break the object.
