Customizable Key USB Cover

Customizable Key USB Cover

thingiverse

I used to have one of those metal key USB's that I printed on my Makerbot. To give it a more personalized look and make it more suitable for my Makerbot, I designed this custom USB cover in Fusion 360. It is made up of two separate pieces that are glued together, while the Makerbot logo is printed separately and attached to the covers using glue. The design can likely be printed with dual extrusion, but since I don't have a machine equipped with this feature, I haven't tried it out yet. I also included an empty one for customization purposes. If the tolerances turn out to be too tight, I might release the Fusion 360 files so that others can modify them. However, if your printer is well calibrated, the parts will fit together perfectly, and the logos will even come loose slightly. By the way, all the parts are held securely in place using super glue.
