Customizable Hood Mount for Fume Extractor
thingiverse
To seal up the gap at the back of the hood on my printer and connect a Hakko fume extractor hose, allowing me to capture printing fumes and microscopic particles from both printing and engraving tasks. This setup is currently optimized for use with my Bibo2 touch 3D printer and a Hakko fume extractor hose. However, this design doesn't perfectly match the dimensions of my Bibo2, rendering it somewhat obsolete for my needs. Future improvements would involve adding an opening on the side to reduce airflow escaping from the printer, even at its lowest setting, which currently overwhelms the bed's ability to keep up with air pressure. I also need to adjust the bottom of this enclosure to fit snugly around my printer and relocate the filament tubes to separate conduits. After careful consideration and experimenting with various filaments, I've come to realize that this design is only truly beneficial when using the engraver attachment on my 3D printer. To fully optimize it, I'll need to fine-tune the bottom of the enclosure for a secure fit but won't be addressing the filament tube issue at this time.
