I designed this to pinpoint my Z axis stepper motor coupling's exact position when it reaches home. The Z stepper on the opposite side of the limit switch occasionally drifts slightly off course. This solution ensures a precise position before printing, eliminating the need for caliper measurements or mechanically linking the two motors with a belt. Mount the part on top of the Z stepper opposite the limit switch and run the machine through its home cycle. Verify that it's in the correct spot by taking a measurement and marking a small line with a fine-tip marker within the slot.
