Customizable Hammond Style Box

These enclosures have inner and outer dimensions identical to their Hammond counterparts. The holes in the lid only go 3mm into it, not through the whole lid. These boxes are designed for use with magnets as closing mechanisms instead of screws. The Body part requires four 3mm diameter and 10mm height screws. The top needs four 4mm diameter and 3mm height magnets. Those same magnets can be used with original Hammond boxes since they fit the holes, but they need to be glued into place. With the 3D printed part, they should simply press-fit. Consider using a 6mm diameter and 1mm height magnet to cover the magnet in the lid for the original boxes. Testing sizes: First print test.stl and verify that wall sizes and holes for the magnet match your printer settings. If they do, you can use all available boxes. Each box includes the following stls: Both (Body and Lid), Body only, and Lid only. If they don't fit, open the customizer and adjust values as needed. The offsets are from the original size. Attached STLs were rendered using default settings. Available Boxes: 1550: * 1550A * 1550B * 1550P * 1550Q 1590: * 1590A * 1590B * 1590G Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator (5th Generation) Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Notes: Default settings and STLs are what I use, where my magnets fit perfectly.
