Customizable Gauntlet (untested)
thingiverse
This concept is entirely untested, shared solely for the purpose of sparking discussion and potential innovation. The proposal involves designing a gauntlet for e-NABLE Hands using flat components that can be printed directly onto the print bed, hinged together with 3D filament. To create this customized design, users will need to include specific parts such as: Left bar Middle piece Right bar Multiple instances of "left join" and "right join" components can be added to accommodate individual arm lengths. One key benefit of this approach is its full customizability. However, some combinations may yield unexpected results, rendering them unusable. For instance, creating tensioner pins that are smaller than the corresponding screw holes will indeed permit assembly, but the outcome will not be functional. Before printing, users should carefully examine their designs using the built-in preview feature to avoid costly mistakes. While the Customizer tool occasionally experiences difficulties with this specific concept, successfully generated designs can be exported for desktop use via OpenSCAD.
