Customizable FTC Beefy Phone Mount

Customizable FTC Beefy Phone Mount

thingiverse

Inspired by ServoCity's ZTE Speed Phone Mount, this design is a one-piece upgrade. Default files are tailored for MotoE4 phones, but you can use Customizer to enter your phone's dimensions and create a mount that fits your device perfectly. The design allows for mounting a phone onto an FTC robot using the center hole pattern, which is compatible with Actobotics (diagonal holes), goBILDA, or Tetrix (on-axis hole slots). Extended hole patterns for these formats are available in Customizer, and sample .stl files for Moto E4 are provided. You can also use Customizer to leave gaps for side phone buttons or ports in different locations. This design prints without support if your printer can handle short bridges. The clip-based design securely holds the phone even when the open end is facing down. However, in a rough environment, it may be better to print the mount sideways or on its back so that the clips don't bear the full weight of the phone. Customizer sometimes struggles with the version featuring curvy clips (06Mega), but works smoothly with angled clips (05Mega). If you prefer curvy clips, download the 06Mega scad file and modify the customized parameters in the code before rendering it locally.
