I appreciate rowokii's customizable spool holder, but wanted something that would work better with PVC than a threaded rod. Since I have a wide range of spool diameters I didn't want a lot of wasted space or distance between spools in my dry boxes, so I adapted a piece of rowokii's model and simplified it. I'll add more photos over time and work on this further if anyone has comments/suggestions. In OpenSCAD, here's what you can customize: - 'diameter' -- this is the diameter of the inner hole of your filament spool; the diameter will also print on the piece itself so you can see at a glance which size you're grabbing if you print extras. Be careful to accurately measure this for a snug fit, and to check your spool to see if you have multiple sizes (both photos above are from the same MakerGeeks spool, one side has a diameter of 52mm, the other was 89mm) - 'height' -- how thick you'd like this to be; I don't believe in waste, but don't be too conservative or your spool may wobble. I don't think you need this to be the entire thickness of your spool, but you can create this however you like. - 'rod_d' -- diameter of the rod on which you'll be running your spools. In my case, I'm using 3/4" PVC, which has an outer diameter of about 28mm.
