Customizable fidget spinner with text and perfect storage box
thingiverse
I've always been on the hunt for a fidget spinner model that can accommodate an array of ball bearings and hex nuts, but I never found one that could support all kinds of combinations. I have a treasure trove of different ball bearings, and I needed a spinner model that could be tweaked and would allow for a wide range of configurations. Regarding both the quantity of weights, the type of weight, the size of the ball bearings, and the weights etc., I was stumped. I also wanted a custom design on the spinner and a sleek box to house it in. So, I created this model myself. Measure your ball bearing and weights carefully. Choose your text, input the values, generate the model, and print it out. The box is automatically generated and precision-made for your customized spinner. If you use hex nuts as the weight, make sure to measure them exactly as shown in the image. I've limited this model by using sliders. If you're feeling adventurous, you can download the code and play with it in OpenSCAD. The included "Spinner-22-8-7.stl" file with center pads, box, and lid is a standard 3-arm spinner for 22-8-7 mm ball bearings. Please comment if something is unclear or if you have any change requests. The box is based on Faber Unserzeit's "Customizable round box with threaded lid": https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1648580
